ASCE Honors CAEM Professors, Alumnus

Affiliates of CAEM department swept in the Southern Arizona Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ 2018 awards. Professor of practice Dean Papajohn was named the Post-Secondary Educator of the Year, professor emeritus and Quakewrap CEO Mohammad “Mo” Ehsani was named Engineer of the Year, and alumnus Austin Urton was named Young Engineer of the Year. Besides their connection to CAEM, all three share another commonality: a deep love for what they do.

“It’s just wonderful,” Ehsani said. “Sometimes I feel like I should be paying someone to do this work, not be paid to do it.”
