Emeritus Regents Professor Awarded Honorary Professorship

Dr. Chandrakant Desai, CEEM Emeritus Regents Professor, was awarded an Honorary Professorship at the University of Nottingham, U.K. The title Honorary Professor is appropriate only for someone worthy of a Chair position at the University or the equivalent, i.e. someone very eminent in their field.  Nominations for serving academics from other world leading universities (whether in the UK or abroad) may be considered only if they hold professorial positions within those institutions.
