CAEM alumna Katie Wood was recently profiled by the publication StrXur as a rising star of the architecture, engineering and construction industry.

In the Q&A feature, she forecasts more agile, accurate and automated tools, and a push for harnessing data. "Data is a critical resource for advancing our industry," she says. "There is huge value in analyzing historical market and project trends as well as predicting what is next."

Wood earned a BS in civil engineering with an emphasis in construction engineering management from the UA in 2015. In 2018, she received a Bluebeam Industry Innovator award for digital pull planning work on a project at Los Angeles International Airport. She currently serves as a virtual design and construction engineer for Turner Construction.
