The UA Certificate to Master's Program, or CMP, in Transportation is a fast-paced, cost-effective path to a Master of Engineering degree from one of the best transportation schools in the United States.
The certificate program provides a rich classroom experience, practical training opportunities and promising career opportunities. Thanks to online offerings and tuition waivers, students pay only about half the typical cost of a U.S. master’s degree.
Begin the CMP at your undergraduate institution and complete your master’s degree in one year at the University of Arizona. Open to students from Feng Chia University, Soochow University and Tongji University.

Program Timeline
Apply for admission to the CMP in your third year at your home institution.
Spend your fourth year in your hometown, taking six to 12 credits in online courses from the UA that count toward your graduate degree. Apply to the master's program.
Come to the UA's campus in Tucson, Arizona, in your fifth year to complete the last of your 30 credits of master's degree coursework.
After receiving your ME, you are eligible to apply for optional practice training or to pursue a doctoral degree at the UA or other universities.
Application Guidelines
- Minimum GPA: 3.0 (82.5 on WES conversion scale)
- Minimum TOEFL score
- Internet-based test: 79
- Paper-based test: 550
- Minimum IELTS composite score: 7, with no subject below 6
- Minimum Pearson PTE Academic score: 60
