Kevin Lansey and Cac Dao Discuss Microcampus Program in Phnom Penh
On Jan. 13-15, civil engineering and engineering mechanics department head Kevin Lansey traveled with professor of practice Cac Dao to visit the American University of Phnom Penh, or AUPP, to discuss the microcampus program.
Lansey and Dao met with AUPP officials Kenneth Dunn, president of AUPP; Nial Farrell, vice president of academic affairs; and Hillary Vance, director of the UA Southeast Asia Program. The group discussed the curriculum for a complete program beginning in Spring of 2018, hiring a co-professor for ENGR 102B, and recommendations for hiring a co-professor for engineering science courses for upcoming semesters.
In addition to this meeting, the representatives from civil engineering and engineering mechanics held a recruitment event with local high school students, and engaged with potential applicants to the microcampus program.
