Recent Alumna Reports Back After CI Student Days Conference

Abby Davidson, who received her bachelor's degree in May, was one of 36 attendees of the ASCE Construction Institute's 2016 Student Days conference. 

The annual event features a variety of professional and technical presentations, a site tour, team-building and speed networking. At its heart is the Heavy Civil Engineering Team Challenge, in which students compete to create a bid package for a real-world construction job and present their proposal to construction professionals. 

Davidson's team won second place, and she was honored as the team's best presenter. 

She has reported back to the department on the "incredible opportunity" – and she encourages her friends and colleagues to promote these conferences so other CEEM students can share the experience.
