Alumna Up for ASCE Presidency

Kristina Swallow, who received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UA in 1994, is running for president of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Swallow is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Nevada and currently serves as engineering program manager for the city of Las Vegas. Previously, she worked in the office of U.S. Senator Tom Udall and owned a consulting firm. She has been involved in ASCE since 1998 and believes that, in order to achieve the Vision of 2025, civil engineers must position themselves as technical advisors and key influencers in public policy.
