Ehsani's QuakeWrap StifPipe an Innovation Standout

The American Society of Civil Engineers has announced the winners of its first ASCE Innovation Contest, and StifPipe, a technology created by Professor Emeritus Mo Ehsani's QuakeWrap Inc., was named Best Value in Green Engineering. 

StifPipe, called the "world's first 'green' and sustainable pipe," consists of a lightweight honeycomb core covered with carbon- or glass-fiber-reinforced polymer. It is easily manufactured to any shape or size, does not corrode and weighs less than traditional pipes.
