Lozier Named Water Quality Person of the Year
CEEM alumnus Jim Lozier, who received his master's degree in civil engineering in 1981, was named the 2016 Water Quality Person of the Year by the American Membrane Technology Association and the American Water Works Association.
The award, which honors outstanding contributions to water supply improvement, recognizes Lozier's work on water and wastewater treatment, desalination, and water reuse, as well as his leadership on the use of membrane processes in both municipal and industrial markets.
Lozier has worked at CH2M since 1989 and currently serves as vice president and global technology lead for desalination. His role in the reverse osmosis pilot program for the Ready Creek Improvement District's Energy Services group helped the firm earn the 2015 Stockholm Industry Water Award.
