Metropia App to Ease Congestion at Book Festival

Metropia, the free mobile app developed by associate professor Yi-Chang Chiu, will help ease parking frustration for the 130,000 expected attendees of the 2016 Tucson Festival of Books on March 12-13. Thanks to a partnership with UA Parking and Transportation Services, the app will tell drivers which parking areas still have space in nearly real time, allowing them to spend less time searching for a spot and more time enjoying the festivities.
