Need Homecoming Parking? CEEM-Developed App Can Help

Thanks to associate professor Yi-Chang Chiu, finding a parking spot for the department's 2016 Homecoming celebration is as simple as pressing a button. 

His company, Metropia, has partnered with UA Parking and Transportation Services to track parking lot capacity for all UA home football games, including Saturday's Homecoming game against Stanford. 

Users of the Metropia mobile app can simply choose the lot they want and the time they plan to leave for the game, and the app will guide them to the best parking spaces while avoiding heavy traffic. Additional perks are available for fans who carpool.

The app is available for free through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
