Metropia Makes GovTech 100

Metropia, the free traffic solution app created by associate professor Yi-Chang Chiu and commercialized through Tech Launch Arizona, has earned a spot in the inaugural GovTech 100. Developed by Government Technology magazine and e.Republic Labs, the list celebrates the "next wave of civic innovation" – those companies that have developed an innovative offering to improve or transform government. Metropia is recognized in the Smart Infrastructure category.

The app made its first appearance at the Tucson Festival of Books this year, and it will also help direct traffic at UA's Spring Fling on April 8-10.
